The Inventor's Standards Bureau recognizes that many inventions do not always meet the stringent requirements for patent approval.

Situations where an inventor may be granted a degree in Applied Gizmology without the pre-requisite patent are:

Machine Artist Prerequisite Exemption

To qualify for this exemption you must be a bona fide machine artist and able to provide a portfolio of your work for appraisal by the exemption review board.

It is recomended but not necessary that applicants hold a diploma or a degree in art, science, engineering or robotics.

Exceptions will be allowed for Machine artists of noted ability and reputation.



Professional Inventor Pre-requisite Exemption

To qualify for this exemption you should be employed or otherwise in a position that requires your direct involvement in the specific designing and building of inventions for industrial or commercial uses. These uses may be medical, aerospace, transportation, consumer goods/inventions etc.
(Non-commercial inventions are usually considered machine art)


It is recomended but not necessary that applicants hold a technical diploma or a degree in art, science, engineering or robotics.

Exceptions will be allowed for Professional Inventors of noted ability and reputation.
